What Refresh Rate Do I have?

Is there a command or program that can tell me what refresh rate I have in Debian Sarge? I have been trying to adjust it so I have the highest possible because after awhile the 60 hz that it was on before really tired my eyes quickly and painfully. I want to know if that is still the case (that its still at 60hz) and whether I have to take a break every 10 minutes still, or if I fixed it.

The 'Screen Resolution' option will not open to check at all either.
