what arerecommended partition sizes for multi distros?


I have a 320gig hd with ubuntu hardy already installed .I am wanting to install Arch but I am wondering about the partition sizes and sharing which folders do/can I share with Arch?

You don't ... you can (reasonably safely) share swap, /home and /tmp
(if those are separate partitions in your installation). That aside
you shouldn't try to mix them.
