web problem!

Have been trying to install DSL from the CD included in The Official DSL Book. Running on Windows xp through VMPlayer. However, the virtual system is unable to see my internet! Have tried everything - to my limited capabillity! Any ideas? Cheers, Merrik

Hi,

Welcome to LQ!

If you are trying to use the wireless then forget it. If the Ethernet then post the error messages that you are getting.

Thanks, Gary, for your response! Error message reads:
'The network bridge on device VMnet0 is temporarily down because the bridged Ethernet interface ...'
Followed by:
'The virtual machine may not be able to communicate with the host or with other macines on your network'.
