Want to connect USB drive in Fedora Core 6


Hi All I want to connect USB drive in fedora core 6 machine so what are the steps i have to perform to access the USB.

Fedora should just recognize it the moment you connect it, just as Windows would.

Check you mount table to see if it's there.

HI

I tried I just connect it and I found the icon but when I try to open it its showing error.

What is the error by the way. and fedora should recognize it automatically.

Mounting Manually..

1) switch to root

2) /sbin/fdisk -l

3) Locate your flash disk The entry should be /dev/sdb1 or /dev/sda1

4) Type mount /dev/sdb1 /media (Or wherever you want to mount it)
