Vncserver question

ok, i cannot open firefox in both vncserver and the GUI if I am logged into for the same user, i get the message, "Firefox is already running, please ..whatever...whatever..whatever"

so how do i run firefox in both, this happens only when i am logged into GUI for User1 and user1 and same user1 has started VNCSERVER.

Never tried this but I have a thought. Extract another copy of the save version of firefox you are running say in your home directory. Then startup firefox on the machine local using the default firefox. Then vnc in and start firefox in the newly extracted location.

Not sure if this will work. They both will be using the default ~/.mozilla/firefox/****** config. There may be a file that once started sets it to say it is in use by the user.

Maybe to get around this is if happy with the firefox config is set all the files there as read-only except bookmarks.html and a few others.

Glad to see it worked. I will make a note of that for future if needed.
