Videoplayer dont show video

mplayer with GUI installed and deepin-movie player doesnt show video only sound - i installed ubuntu-restricted-extras with no change, is there more codecs?

Is this with all videos or only a specific format. Try getting the video in a different format or convert it. What type of video is it?

happens with avi mkv mp4 and those are the only ones i have tried
i get sound and no video on deepin-movie and mplayer with gui installed other players run video normaly mplayer without gui runs normaly

You might want to launch gmplayer from a terminal and view the command output. That should give you some clue.
