recommend me a Videoplayer (P2+Linux)


Hi there,
is there Linux Software to play Videofiles on a Pentium2_64MB_flux without
stottering ? I am using Slackware 10.2_kernel 2.4.31

I think it also depends on the codec and CPU speed, but there's really only one player that comes to mind: MPlayer
It accepts certain options (e.g. "-hardframedrop") to make playback a little smoother on slow systems. Hope that helps.

MPlayer works fine for P2

MPlayer works fine for a Pentium2_64mb with Linux
only needed to install "lame-3.95.1.tar.gz"
because System asked for "libmp3lame.so.0"
"mplayer" installs to /usr/bin
thx

ps im using Slackware 10.2 fluxbox or xfce4
