Video editing

I use SUSE 10.3 64 bit and am slowly migrating from Windows XP. Apart from some games that I use in Windows the only other thing that I miss is Sony Vegas which i use to edit videos made with my small video camera. I believe that they are in .wmv or .asp format. Is there a program that I can use in Linux?
