Usb drive not detecting

I am presently using Kali Linux. When I inserted my pen drive it was not showing in the files option while when I opened disks or Gparted it was there. I formatted it last time to ntfs category and now all I can see is unallocated space written in Gparted . when i try "fdisk -l" it is over there also . I wanted to move some files to that pd and now i am having problem to access it. pls. help

If I understand correctly, you are trying to copy files from Kali Linux to a pen drive but cannot see the pen drive in the file manager, correct?
You do see the pen drive in GParted and also using fdisk, correct?
You indicate that you formatted the pen drive with an ntfs filesystem but it appears as unallocated now, correct?
Can you post the output of fdisk or GParted?
Have you used this pen drive previously to put data on it?

Maybe the NTFS driver isn't loaded.
