Unhappy update cache problem.what's jockey-backend?


When i update cache in ubuntu,it is always displaying "waiting for jockey-backend to exit" and then there isn't any reaction.what's jockey-backend?
how can i update cache successfully?

Hi

You need to explain your problem clearly and fully. I see in another post you talk about installing a graphics card that has broken your GUI mode; which I suspect is related.

Explain exactly what you've done; and what happened at each step and then people will be able to assist you further.

First Uninstall Additional Drivers (Jockey - gtk ) from Software Center
then you would be able to update ubuntu.
You may reinstall it later if you wish.
