Unusual problem while installing ubuntu

Hello,
I have two CDs of ubuntu 7.04 shipped by cannonical with me which I wish to install.

When I boot into the CD, it takes a long time to load and when I click the install button, a box called Install opens up (I get no content inside the window, it is just white to indicate that it is loading) and freezes. I tried waiting but I gave up after half an hour. I have successfully installed previous versions of Ubuntu before.

Help will be much appreciated...

Thanks in advance...
