unresponsive script

i keep getting this error message even if i click "don't ask again" to stop the script from running. its like fb-static something. i googled the script name and firefox came up. i changed the script time using about:config from 10 to 20 seconds and that hasn't fixed it. i use the "top" command to and see firefox-bin using a ton of resources(even though its "iceweasel") and killed the pid.

now is there a way to stop this from happening, is it normal behavior or did i cause this by installing something?

This looks to be a plugin issue in your browser, this used to happen to me all the time with Flash on GNOME. The only solution was to remove the add-on and install a different version. Did you recently install or upgrade an add-on before the problem started?

i think i did upgrade a plugin, probably flash. i remember seeing a bar at the top of the browser saying "you need an additional plug in to view page" or something to that effect. i couldn't tell you exactly what was installed, but is there a simple apt-get(using debian) command to update the browers and plugins?

edit - i just re-installed iceweasel using the synaptics package manager, maybe that will help.
