Uninstall/Upgrade Phyton 2.2.3

Hello everyone:

I have phyton 2.2.3 and I need to upgrade to 2.3. I've downloaded the normal and developer rpm's however, I can't get it to upgrate/replace the current versions.

I did uninstall the developer version:

rpm -e developerVersion

and install the new one, using rpm -i as well.

However, when I try to uninstall the "normal" version, I get a serie of dependencies that would not allow me to erase phyton, such as gnome libs and so on..... How can I upgrade my phyton interpreter version?

Thanks in advance

Alejandro

And you shouldn't be using RPM with Slack in the first place ;}

Go and get new TGZs, if there are none, compile it yourself using
Pat's build-scripts (modified to reflect the new version-number, of
course ... ).

Cheers,
Tink
