Compile uninstall and upgrade kernel question

Hello,

I'm running ManDrake 9.0.

1st question:
Say I downloaded Apache and installed this by,

Commands in order as root:
1)tar -zxvf <apache file.tar.gz>
2)cd the apache directory created.
3)./config
4)make
5)make install

What do I need to do to specifically remove this and everything that was installed?

Rpm's I can just use RPMDrake and it does everything for me. So Im a little confused on the proper way to do this when I've compiled from source.

2nd question:
I would like to upgrade to Mandrake 9.1 but I only have a dialup connection. Is there anyway that I can upgrade the Kernel to 9.1 and its dependencies without having to download the full distro? I'm a noobian so correct in my thinking if need be.

Thanks,

if you have the source for apache, I think you can simply type make uninstall in the source directory.

Thanks Rajiv,

This worked just fine. But it looks as though some developers don't have uninstall utilities. Oh well.
