RH 9 is ancient and went End of life

use a current operating system that was not released in 2003

BUY yes $$$ pay $$$ for the non free RHEL 7 or 8

On top of all that....

You may wish to consider using a free virtual machine to run other OS's within Windows. I do understand that your laptop is not super powerful but should be OK I think to run a simple VM.

If you do have RH 9 it would run on a VM I'd think. RH 9 doesn't have the support needed for your hardware.

I have installed RH 9 in VirtualBox just for the fun of it and it worked but your basically stuck with what apps are on the disks.

If 9 was in error and you meant 8 then it's better to install centos 8 when it comes out because its is a free version. Fedora is known as development program for Redhat
