Hello everyone, I'm Ken, the noobiest of the noobies, so be gentle.
Here's my problem;
I installed ubuntu server 10.10 no prob, it boots no grub prob, I still have my Windows 7 loader select ubuntu, starts, looks good @ login i can type user name without a prob but when i try to enter the password it acts as if there is no keyboard (no numbers no characters no spaces .. nothing)
The system basics;
Dual boot Windows 7 Ultimate and Ubuntu server 10.10
dual core 32 bit processor
What I've tried;
downloaded iso twice, burned cd twice, checked(validated from install cd) cd twice
went to rescue and repaired packages, downloaded and installed all updates
double checked for correct version 32 bit
went to rescue tried to change password, same problem, enter user no problem try to enter password no luck, try to enter blank, get authentication error password not changed
In advance, sorry for the noobie errors. Great community, I like the mindset, can't wait to get de-microsofted.
