Ubuntu 20.04: how to unpack a .fw file & using Files app as root questions...

Hi,

I would like to unpack some .fw files and copy them to /lib/firmware

Q1: How do I unpack them?

Q2: How do I use the Files App as root so I can move them?

that post is 10 years old and you have definitely a different kernel. I think the firmware should be downloaded and just copied into that /lib/firmware dir as root (and reboot). But I'm not really sure that will make it work.
