Yeah, it gets to a certain point and then it just doesn't want to do anything.
Errors swipe by too fast unfortunately.

I have Nvidia Graphics Card in my laptop keep in mind.
Should I use intel or nvidia drivers for modset?
Also I may consider underbooting, whatever it takes.

Virtual machines don't work well on my main PC, however may have to test my laptop.

I could try your suggestions tomorrow.
I could try more solutions tomorrow since it is late for me.

I also have issues loading up a Virtual Machine of Sabayon on my laptop so I might eliminate that.

Since your laptop is a uefi machine go with that.

First try "Start Sabayon" and see if that loads. If it loads you should have an icon on the desktop to install Sabayon.
IF NOT than press "Installation". If Installation doesn't load up for you than you will have to press Enter to select the os and as it is booting press the 'e' key to edit the commands before booting. You will have to look at the options and commands to proceed and select the right one.

For Legacy Mode press F5 for other options.

What VM are you using?

Remember in order to install Sabayon you will have to shrink Windows partition on your 232 GB HDD to make room for your fresh Sabayon install.

I know you have unallocated space but when I looked at that unallocated space it didn't look like it was on the 232 GB HDD that you do have.

Does your laptop have more than one HDD?

Yeah, the 232 is the SSD with preloaded windows from the company and then there is a 1tb hard drive.
Having more than 1 drive makes it flexible for dual-booting purposes.
Once I install Sabayon, I would have to find motivation for me to use it as a primary driver for my laptop.
Having said that, I don't know how much I should chew off the 232gb partition.

Also; during your install make sure before you write Sabayon to disk that the correct drive is selected to install to the MBR.
If you don't see your Windows partition in your new Grub Menu you can solve that by updating Grub.

With Mint and other Ubuntu based systems one would run sudo update-grub and grub will find the other os and add it to the Grub Menu.
I've never installed Sabayon before so you will have to find out what commandline utility Sabayon uses become root and run update-grub. AFAIK Gentoo (Sabayon is based on) uses a utility all of it's own.

IF you like Windows you could also give Zorin OS a spin.

My Opinions/Experiences on Debian based Operating Systems:
I've tried and had tested Zorin, Ubuntu, Mint, Peppermint and Bodhi.
Also, In the past I loaded up a couple more (sabayon being one of them).
Zorin seems too windows, it wouldn't feel like linux that much. Also, how often I would have to change Zorin's support doesn't last long.
I think some of the appearances of Ubuntu are okay, I did use Xubuntu once like 2 years ago as a daily driver for a few days.
The ubuntu's are simple and fun to use, but I want to try something different.
Mint just sucked for me considering apps wouldn't load and the stuff that did load were significantly lower in performance and FPS.
Installing Java was terrible on Mint, it took nearly an hour and a half to install Java and a game with my friends help.
That one person I spoke too uses Gentoo alot, but I don't have much contact with him anymore, so will have to find someone to really help me with Gentoo-Based stuff.

My opinions for sabayon/gentoo:
Sabayon would be a good start for me to learn Gentoo.
One thing I really liked is the fact that Sabayon detected my peripherals and were to indicate exactly what they are.
From what I remembered, I had better graphics drivers straight out of the box than I had with Ubuntu.
Also, the KDE plasma flavor looks beautiful on Sabayon and updates for this OS seem more frequent and can be more up to date.
I am well aware that it is harder to run, but I feel like I would have more fun with it once I start learning.
I may need more help with it, but if I push myself and dedicate myself to Sabayon, I can eventually use it more often than windows.

I don't have much experience as you can tell in my posts, but it will be a learning experience and a half for me.

Sorry to hear Mint gave you so much of an issue. Sounds like hardware issues.

I completely understand. That's why I run Slackware. It has it's own package management system and it's nothing like any other distro I've tried.
Read up on the installation process first if you have the time.
That way there won't be any surprises.

For some reason, I forgot this post existed, I tried alot of that stuff and nothing worked.
I have to learn about the underboot settings.
Also, doing this on my laptop itself, no VM.

I tried to install Sabayon twice in Virtual Box.
The first time I tried automatic partitioning and at the end the installer told me that the install was complete but still needed some configuring. The configure button was grayed out and I couldn't click on it. I waited about 10 to 15 minutes and the grayed out button never changed color or became active.

The second attempt to install Sabayon I manually created the /boot, /root and swap partitions.
The installer again told me the same thing and I couldn't click on the configuration button because it was grayed out.

I'm trying now to install it in a VM called Boxes. If it works I'll let you know.

Its a strange mystery because I've definitely remember having this exact version on one of my computers run and load perfectly.
I know my old desktop is most flexible with running linux, but that desktop is a guest machine.
I am installing it on my laptop because I can take it with me anywhere I go and Windows 10 is not well optimized on there.

Sabayon installed fine in Boxes on my Debian box.

During the install I was prompted for a root and user password. During the installation in VBox I wasn't prompted for a root and user password which leads me to thinking that the installer isn't playing nice with VBox or there is a bug with the installer.

I rebooted Sabayon in Boxes after the install and was greeted with a very nice KDE Menu.
The Konsole and Chrome Browser launched w/o fail and Mahjongg launched while I played it for a few minutes.

I'm not a fan of KDE but I have to say it is done very well with this distribution and very pleasing the way they have it laid out.

I haven't gotten to install it yet, I wonder if something is bugged considering I couldn't get it to boot.
What boot settings did you use and can you prompt me how to add in those boot settings?
The main struggle is getting it to boot on my laptop despite high specs.
Once it boots, I think I can figure out partitions, but just in case, may like some good help on that too.

I was an XFCE fan, but KDE on Sabayon looks SOOOO good!
