Question Trying to install RadeonOpenCompute which requires Python 3.8 but my Kubuntu has Python 3.9

When I tried to install RadeonOpenCompute

The error message I received is

Quote:
rocm-gdb : Depends: libpython3.8 but it is not installable E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
Should I install Kubuntu LTS which comes with Python 3.8 or should I install both Python 3.9 and 3.8 onto my Kubuntu 21.04?

And if installing both 3.8 and 3.9 can be done, how do I do that? Thanks

yes, even if you could install python 3.8 there will be other problems too.

It was the right thing to do and I installed RadeonOpenCompute successfully.

The default wallpaper of Ubuntu LTS was rather unattractive and I replaced it with beautiful ones I have.
