trouble finding file

I have CentOS with VMWare on it (it's the host). On my CentOS guest virtual machine, I tried installing the VMWare Tools by double clicking on the RPM in Gnome. According to the instruction, I should then run the vmware-install.pl file that is in the vmware-tools-distrib directory.

I cannot find that directory or file. What am I doing wrong here? I even tried from a shell, "find / vmware-install.pl" and it says "no such file or directory" after it finishes searching.

Clueless..

You don't use the find command correctly.
Try find / -iname "vmware-install.pl" instead.
