Where has this DVD come from? Shop bought, downloaded and burned or magazine cover disk.

Have you retried burning the ISO (if it was downloaded)?
Can you view the files on the DVD through a file browser?

Worst case there should be a floppy boot disk image on the dvd (with instructions on how to create it) that you can use.

I would check the MDDSUM of the iso image with the published figure from the web site to see if the DVD is daft first.
