suse 9.0 kernel panic error.

Im currently using suse 9.0 on my box alongside windows xp, ive noticed alot of konqueror crashes, and i don't know what to do about these, and also this weekend i upgraded to 512mb of ram, just added one dimm, and after that, when i botted into linux i got a kernel panic, and had to re-install. i love linux, when it is working, but im getting tons of crashes, what should i do to have a more stable system?

my system specs are as follows - AMD 1800+xp, 512 mb pc 2100 ram, one 20 gig hdd and one six gig hdd, and an nvidia radeon fx 5200 128mb card.

thanks,
Ross.

I would suggest doing a memory test on your RAM to make sure everything is actually running fine. I have had problems where Linux would constantly crash, and running Prime95 in Windows sent back errors. and memtest86 reported failures. The quality of your RAM can be quite an issue.
