and at least TWO of then can NOT be installed together
you MUST use one OR the other for:
1) priorities
2) protectbase
you can not use both , that WILL cause problems
with fedora 14 unsupported and has NOT received any updates in 3 years
nor any SECURITY UPDATES in 3 years
you can uninstall all of those yum plugins
there are NO updates for "protectbase" to protect the system
there are really no mirrors for "fastestmirror" to use
mirrors are all almost gone
there have been NO updates for "auto-update-debuginfo" ?? the debug ONLY ??? -- odd , very odd .
??????????
odd
are you trying to use a "local" offline software repo ?
without setting UP a local repo ?
i really would think of scrapping a operating system that has been unsupported for 3 years
think of it as windows XP ( without ANY service pack installed)
xp-sp3 is good for a few months
BUT all support for
XP
XP-sp1
XP-sp2
ended YEARS AGO
along with support for Windows ME ,Windows 2000 , and windows 98
fedora 14 is in the same boat as XP without any service packs installed
what is this? when install is show below whether this is correct??xerces is installed or not
[root@foss /]# yum install xerces-c

Setting up Install Process
Package xerces-c-3.0.1-20.fc14.i686 already installed and latest version
Nothing to do

A couple of things,
1. Please use code tags to put code in. See how the posts from JohnVV have code in code boxes and text in quote boxes. It would be a great learning experience for you to learn how to use them.
2. Not being a Fedora user this is just a guess but you are still trying to install things on Fedora 14 which has not been supported for years now. The relevant repositories have possibly been moved to another location or have been removed completely so attempting to install things from Fedora itself is going to cause you some problems due to the age of the version you are attempting to work with.
The moral to 2. is you really need to install or update to Fedora 20 (or Fedora 19 at least).
Distribution: PCLinuxOS2023 Fedora38 + 50+ other Linux OS, for test only.
