Suggested Minimum Memory Requirements?

Hi Linux Folks,

Well I could not find the minimum memory requirements for RedHat Enterprise Server at the RedHat site - I searched and poked around but nothing jumped off any of the pages - so I'm asking here.

What would be a good number of MB of RAM in a system to support operation of and development of (Eclipse) software for a RedHat Linux Enterprise Server installation?

Thanks!

My way of thinking is ... "Chips are Cheap!"

As we used to say at the gas-station: "Fill 'er up!"

Thanx to the Max On The Min

OK - 1GB it is... that seems like a reasonable as well as affordable target.

Sheesh - when I first got into this game there was a sale on RAM of $1/KB - (64 KB for $64) which translates to $1,000,000 if the price ratio were the same today. I thus duly consider myself lucky to get that amount of RAM (for my older, slower box) at a price point today of less than $280. YEAA!

Thanks!
