splitting screen vertically or horizontally


Hi everyone.am just wondering how i can
split my screen either vertically or horizontally
So as to perform different tasks at the same time.
i just want to do everything in the same tty
Monitoring every job.thanks in advance.

Use tmux, or GNU screen.
