Soundcard and Webcam problems

Hello I'm Albert from Malta. I have just installed Ubuntu on my computer and all is working fine with the exception of microphone, speakers and webcam. My audio is Asus SoundMax and creative webcam vista plus #4. Can anyone help me to find a solution.

Code:
sudo apt-get install alsa-utils
run in a terminal as a normal user...alsamixer.....you don't say if you have front mic and back mic connectors but for each mic....change input to that...and raise volumes of capture

see section sound in .... http://sidux.com/index.php?module=Wi...=MixerSettings

2) post the output of command lsusb for your cam pls
