wasn't sure where to post this so i figured this was a safe bet. mod or admin can move it if it fits into another category better.

i simply would like to know if anyone has run both makululinux lindos 15 and mint 19 cinnamon. if so i'd like their thoughts on how the two compare. thanks

You could easily compare the 2 distributions by running them in a VM.

That is if you have the time. Just an idea:-

Roger that:-

Linux Mint is Ubuntu based and Makululinux is based on debian testing and Ubuntu so I'm sure there are some differences.
Be interesting to find out what others have to say.

Let's see what our members here have to say in regards to a comparison of the 2 distro's.

Here's some pictures of Makulu Linux in a Gallery.

one thinf regardless of claims otherwise makulu's default theme and wallpapers are crap in my book, but lucking easily rectified. mint i'm using oomox-aglia theme. the other thing i found is makulu needs to update nemo from 3.8.5 to 4.0.6 badly.

I have run Makulu Core an as far as I'm concerned it still has alot of bugs he needs to figure out yet! Also, even I didn't care for the constant hounding how he should be payed for his work. I will revisit sometime in the future as the distro has merit, just isn't their yet IMHO.

Side By Side Comparison Of MakuluLinux LinDod And Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon

Ive been really tempted lately to try a Mint distro lately, especially the one that has some lazy style access to ubuntu repositories.

mint cinnamon 19.1(a 19.2 update should be coming soon)would be my suggestion. great os. i've been playing with linux on and off for over 15 years waiting for it to be ready for prime time. this last go around back in early november landed me on mint cinnamon after playing with 1/2 a dozen other distros. with mint i was comfortable enough by the end of the first week of december to give my entire drive over to linux. haven't run windows since. i do however reccomend the dolphin file manager over nemo, or both depending on needs. but before installing mint i'd compare it to makulu then decide.
