Sftp


finally i got all my programs working! ssh, lynx and sftp. but how can you configure sftp to be an anonymus? help! thanks in advance!

gftp, ftp/options/ssh uncheck require username/password for ssh.

I'm assuming you mean client since all you listed were client processes for the other stuff.

i mean how can you access a sftp server without typing any username and password? what .conf file should i edit? thanks dude

i mean im gonna be the ftp server. how can i configure it to be an anonymus log? as in they dont have to input a username and password to access my box.. thanks in advance

This guide is for ssh, but ssh,scp,sftp all come as 1 pkg, so it should work: http://www.cs.umd.edu/~arun/misc/ssh.html .
Personally I (nearly) always use scp rather than sftp... ymmv
