Set Ubuntu to Open One Port

Hello all,

I heard when running Ubuntu I need to set it to open with one port. I had a friend ran Ubuntu on his laptop at school and had other Ubuntu users at school got access to his computer, is that possible? If so, how can I prevent that to happen to me.

Hmmm... Sounds like a load of BS, to be honest. I've been running Ubuntu for over three years now without any problems. You can, however, install the Firestarter firewall and configure it to your liking to ease your mind, if you wish.

Cheers
