Server hang


hi to all..

Last couple of months, my server goes hang irrequaler time.

here i have share with my observation..pls guide me..
1)only one application is running (oracle database)
2)server running, run level 5 mode (gnome desktop)
3)hang after restart, I could not find out any abnormalities in log files.(messages,lastlog,sar,ksyms)
4)Then i was taken OS activities, before one minute hang, no abnormalities found.
5) Server hang time irregularly.
6)Some time what happen ? when right click particular folder , its goes to hang..


Server details..
I686 intel board
3 gb ram
4 cpu
RHEL ES 3

It sounds like a over heating problem, make sure all your fans and cpu heatsyncs are clean and in good working order. Also make sure the fan on your video card is clean, free of dust and fan working good.
