Sending mail directly from vi editor


Dear all
I am using rhel5.2. Is it possible to send mail directly from vi editor?

Suppose i wrote some programming code in vi editor and i want to mail to someone directly from text editor.

Save the file, send it with mailx or some other mail utility.
