david_ross Moderator Registered: Mar 2003 Location: Scotland Distribution: Slackware, RedHat, Debian Posts: 12,047 Rep:	It checks for the existance of the file ".bashrc" in your home directory and if it exists it sources the code from the script into your current shell.
