Screen flickers;running nvidia on Ubuntu 10.2

Error mess:
You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X server.

The monitor is: Gateway, FPD 1960 TFT LCD.
card is; nvidia 6100 GeFroce

Not too sure how to accomplish this....??

Thanks!

Try running this command. You'll see what driver is being used.
Code:
lspci -knn |grep -i -A 3 vga
jdk
