Saving information on a live Cd ?

i am trying to run a version of Linux from a live Cd. Is it possible to us a USB drive as an external HD to save information, so i can bring Linux with me as well as my saved work. Thanks

You have us in the dark here. You should read the 'How to Ask Questions the Smart Way'. That way you would be able to post a proper question or problem.

BTW, it is possible to save your sessions and that does depend on the distribution.
