SATA for RH9 or MDK?

Hi there.

I've recently bought a Dell Optiplex with a SATA drive...I tried dropping RH9 on it, but (unfortunately) found out that RH9 doesn't support SATA! From what I hear, Mandrdake 9.1/9.2B1 is the same.

Has anyone been able to install a SATA hard drive on any Linux distribution? Does anyone know where I can find Dell drivers for SATA HD's on Linux distributions?

I'm a noob to the whole Linux install thing...I've gotten too used to easy GUIs!
