Spell your words out.

First, you're using RedHat Enterprise. If you're paying for a subscription to RedHat, you have access to their support, so call them. If you're NOT paying for it, use CentOS or another free/community supported distro.

Next, RHEL4 is old. The latest is RHEL5, so loading an older distro is pointless. Get the latest release. And did you bother to try to look up the hardware requirements for RHEL4, and what was supported?? Specifically the part where RHEL4 does NOT support SATA drives??

Hey welcome . You are installing RHEL4 or 4.1 or 4.2 or...

By default RHEL4 doesnt support SATA HDD . The updated version of RHEL4 support SATA .

I had also same problem in 2007 and I used 4.4 and now 5.5 .

So you should use any updated version of RHEL4 or use RHEL5 or use CENTOS instead ..
