Hi All,

Can Anyone help out with a RH Linux 7.2 install?
When the system starts up, it attempts to boot from the CD-ROM but I am only left with the following lines on my screen:

Boot from ATAPI CD_ROM :
1. FD 2.88MB System Type-(19)
GRUB

Prior to this install, a Linux installation had been attempted but failed during install.
A new motherboard and CPU have also been installed:

- A XFX micro ATX MoBo with a Pentium 4 Celeron 2Ghz.
- 128 Mb of RAM
- 5GB harddrive
- Harddrive and Zip drive are set to Primary Master/Slave respectively with CDROM set as Secondary Master.

No cards are installed on the MoBo. I am using the onboard video and sound.

Redhat 7.2 doesn't come with grub so thats could be a problem. Its possible that its not booting from the cd
Check the bios for proper boot sequences
Make sure the Cd is clean
If there is nothing no the hard drive like data delete the partitions and wipe the MBR
then try again.
Oh and reload setup defaults in the bios too.

Interesting...

Replaced CD-ROM and and PC BIOS froze.
Unplugged all devices and replugged each one in, one by one.
Bios did not freeze after all devices were plugged back in??

Installed Linux 7.2 and installation asked for either a GRUB or Lilo boot loader? I now have a GRUB boot loader.
