Regarding intergration OTRS and RedHat Satellite


Hi all ....Good day~
I want to ask that is that anyone have a guide on intergration between otrs and redhat satellite?
In which when redhat satellite detect a error,it will report to otrs ?

I doubt it, Satellite is more of a deployment/OS patching system than a monitoring system, the monitoring option is pretty basic and really only for small business. What sort of problems are you trying to capture ?

Ic. Is that posible that if satellite detect some problem,it send email to the otrs as ticket?
want to find a way to make this simple function.

kbp, the problem i trying to capture is mostly based on what the satellite able to detect.

Well it also depends on how OTRS accepts information, if email is acceptable then it might be easy, otherwise you may need to write something that queries the Satellite API then submit's the information to OTRS via whichever method is available.

ic~i am trying to connect the otrs email notification with the redhat satellite system.

By the way, do you ever face "Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet'" when installing new packege ?
i using this command Set global max_allowed_packet = 1000000;
to increase the packet size but sometime it cant be done.
Any idea for solving this problem?
