redhat 9 mailserver for newbie

Basically, i have a p2 266mhz w/ 64mb ram and 6gb harddrive with a minimum install of redhat nine (text based OS). i also installed the packages for dns and mailserver.

now assume the only thing i know how to do in linux is login as root and nothing else.

explain how i'd get a mailserver to receive mail from and then hold it until im ready to check it on a networked computer.

also, i was wondering if i could have anything that would prescan it and allow me to have it auto-delete any messages that could be spam?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to google for a howto, or pick up a little literature - it's a wee on the involved side.

For spam, check out spamassasin. Same deal.
