I downloaded Realone player the realone can play movies the quality is very good, but no sound..

anyone can help?>

my xmms can play mp3 and has sound, but not realone player

just installed : alsa-oss-1.0.12-3.fc6.x86_64

then command:

aoss realplay

errors:

Warning: LD_PRELOAD="/usr/lib64/libaoss.so.0"
ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib64/libaoss.so.0' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.

Try disabling any sound demon which might be running, and start realone when there is no other sound playing.

Now flash (9 beta) and skype are using alsa, I think this is one of the last OSS-using apps (apartr from games like ET). It's about time OSS gets killed. It's been deprecated in the kernel for years and years... *sigh*

still doesnt work.
i disabled all sound demon. still no sound ....
