Question read and execute permission

Binary files need only execute permission to execute. No read permission is required.
But all executable files must be read by the kernel into main memory before executing.
Also script files need both read and execute permissions for executing the file.
Someone help please to understand this concept

Thanks for the info
If the kernel can read without my permission why can't it do the same for shell scripts?

Shell scripts are not read directly by the kernel, but are interpreted first by the shell (such as /bin/bash). Since the shell operates in user space it must have read permission on the script.
