random reboots - HP DL320 G4

Hi,

Has anyone had an issue with random reboots (via asr) with the HP Proliant DL320 G4?

I am running Red Hat ES release 4 (Nahant Update 4) with the latest up2dates from rhn. Using kernel-2.6.9042.EL

I am also using software raid to mirror the two internal disks.

Thanks for any insight if you have had similiar issues.

Tom

Well, as far as computers go, nothing is completely random.. Something would be causing it to reboot.

It could be a hardware problem, or it could be software.

What do you have going on software wise one your machine.. if you want you can run "ps -e" in a terminal and it'll show everyhing that's running.

Let me re-prhrase. I understand that nothing is random with computers. I have 2 (two) DL320 servers showing the same behavior.

I have 2 other servers with the same configuration but different hardware models: DL360 and DL380 working fine.

So I guess my question should be: has anyone experienced problems with the a combination of the hardware (DL320 G4) and the Red Hat ES release 4 (Nahant Update 4). One common software application on both is mysql5.

And right before the system resets (via asr) my munin graph will show a spike up in mysql throughput and load (4.5). But other times there is no load (.08) on the boxes....

Thanks.
