Quick Kernel Recompile Question

I think I'm having some small (the computer hasnt blown up) compilcations using my newly recompiled kernel. I belive they might be related to the name of the kernel, IE the one I set it to in the EXTRAVERSION section of the kernel source makfile.

the name of the kernel is

EXTRAVERSION = -PDL-Unatco-1.0

So basically is it alright to have a name such as this as a name for the kernel?

I don't see why it would be a problem, but for you to determine, you could always change it to something like:
linuxrocks
And see if that fixes whatever problem you are experiencing. You should also try playing around with the kernel configuration a few times to see if that's actually where you problem lies (as this is usually the case with new kernel compiles, something was just missing...).
