program installation from sourcecode

Hello,
I would like to ask how can i install software [kopete in this case] from sourcecode.

i had written a small tutorial here

visit
www.linux-iips.tk
and then go to my help pages section and u get pdfs for installation

also as mentioned above u should make a habit of reading the README and the INSTALL file in the code
