kopete installation from sourcecode -> ./configure error

I tried to install kopete 0.9.2 on Suse 9.2, KDE 3.3, X.Org 6.8.1;
after ./configure this error was returned:

checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!

please, if anyone can help me, do so Thx
