proftpd is not installed.

I have a problem in installing gadmin-proftpd-0.4.3 on Science Linux 6.1 x86 with xampp 1.6.8a for linux.

For installing gadmin-proftpd, I downloaded gadmin-proftpd-0.4.3-0.1.rhfc14.nr.i686.rpm and installed.

rpm -ivh gadmin-proftpd-0.4.3-0.1.rhfc14.nr.i686.rpm

After un-installing, I opened gadmin-proftpd, I have a problem as attached photo.
Thus uninstalled and downloaded gadmin-proftpd-0.4.3.tar.gz and installed with attatched “.Autoinstall” file.

But still I have a problem as the attached photo.

Please let me know how to resolve this proble.

Hello windstory,

you installed the graphical manager of proftpd but did you also installed the proftpd-basic daemon?
Sorry for the silly question ....

Try installing through this command:

# yum --enablerepo=epel -y install proftpd

Then you can configure /etc/proftpd.conf file according to your need.
