Problems with POP 3 Mail

Hello,

I'm new to Linux so I hope I'm posting this question in the right spot. I have a Virtual Private Server with my hosting company and my POP3 service appears to continually lock up. Each time that happens, I have to manually remove duplicate pop 3 start files and restart xinetd.d as advised by their tech support. Can anyone offer some insight as to why my POP3 service would lock up like this? It seems to happen on a daily basis.

Thank you for your help,

Kim

Is it qpopper? If so, I remember there was something on such lockups in the troubleshooting section of the qpopper manual, but I cannot recall. Have you checked the docs?
