Problems installing Suse 9 on BL460c

Hi, my problem is a kernel panic after rebooting for the first time when installing the suse 9 (whitout SP), here is what happens:

Loading kernel/drivers/block/cciss.ko
Compaq CISS Driver (v 2.6.0)
Loading kernel/fs/jbd/jbd.ko
Loading kernel/fs/ext3/ext3.ko
unmount: invalid option -n
unmount: invalid option -n
VFS: Cannot open root device "6802" or unknown-block(104,2)
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(104-2)

As you see, my server has array controller P200 adn i boot with an SP4 CD to recognize the hard drives.

Thanks for your help (and excuse my english )

Here's a link to the official HP page on supported linux distro's on the bl460c:

http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/s...vers-cert.html

It looks like you would need the SuSE 9 SP2 installation media, at minimum ? If that's the case, I think you can get those here:

http://download.novell.com/Download?...d=6pxZpgT1feQ~

Before you get started, I'd recommend updating the system BIOS and the firmware for the RAID controller.

Hope this helps.
