Unhappy problem xawtv/fullscreen

I've got a problem with xawtv. When I start it, it opens in a small window. But when I'm switching to full screen, there's a problem. The image is displayed on a small portion of the screen. The rest is just black, with some lines appearing and disappearing. Has anyone got this problem? I'm using Slackware 9.0, and my TV Card is a Pinnacle Studio PCTV Rave.
I guess it may come from the resolution (1024 x 768), but I'm a newbie and I don't know how to change it, or how I can change my xawtv resolution without changing my overall resolution.
