Problem with Yum

Hello, I sometimes have problems using yum, but sometimes it works pretty well.
When I try to install a package I get an error message like this

Code:
not using ftp, http[s], or file for repos, skipping - <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
not using ftp, http[s], or file for repos, skipping - <html>
not using ftp, http[s], or file for repos, skipping - <head>
not using ftp, http[s], or file for repos, skipping - <title>SpeedTouch</title>
not using ftp, http[s], or file for repos, skipping - <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
not using ftp, http[s], or file for repos, skipping - <script type="text/javascript">var g_navitem = -1;</script>
not using ftp, http[s], or file for repos, skipping - <script type='text/javascript' src='/cgi/b/ic/util.js'></script>
not using ftp, http[s], or file for repos, skipping - <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/styles.css">
I was wondering what is wrong when this occurs, since I dont want to reboot my computer every time it happens, It's most likely something to do with ftp, and http I've checked if my ftp service is running and it's running like usual I belive.

with thanks in advance

Try posting your "yum repolist".

Cool reply to yum

first of all check your ftp services
and also SElinux and security level "disable"
and SElinux "permissive"
if still not working delete the preveious repositeory
copy the whole DVD in /var/ftp/pub/ folder
make the repositeory again
then try
if still nou working
please send your yum repositeory file

thanks
